The original

Where it all started

Released in 2003, The Simpsons: Hit & Run turned Springfield into an open-world playground. You drive, run and smash your way through town as members of the Simpson family and their friends, uncovering a conspiracy involving mysterious black vans, robotic wasp cameras and a suspicious new batch of Buzz Cola.

It's remembered for its show-accurate writing and voice cast, its huge list of drivable cars, and the Hit & Run meter — cause too much chaos and the police come after you. More than twenty years on, it's still one of the most-loved licensed games ever made, and the reason this project exists.
